Facelift

BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic injections, offered at Dr. Rauscher’s New Jersey practice, are a non-surgical method of temporarily reducing the appearance of facial lines, deep creases, and wrinkles. Sonia Mace is a licensed Medical Esthetician who has been practicing in the Plastic Surgery /Medical Spa field. She is an active member of the Society of Dermatology and Skin Care Specialists, The Skin Cancer Foundation, and The National Coalition of Esthetician, Manufacturers, Distributors and Associations.
She recently obtained her post graduate diploma that certifies great depth and breadth of training and technical expertise from The International Dermal Institute and continues her studies in New York.
Sonia combines holistic approach therapies with medical oriented treatments utilizing techniques that ensure satisfaction, safety and desired results. Her certifications include, Reflexology, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Light Emitting Diodes, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion. Post Surgical Camouflage Makeup, and Mirror Imaging Systems.
Her experience in skin care includes medical oncology where she participated with physicians diagnosing and preventing skin cancer. Her main goal is to inform and educate patients on anti-aging issues and sun protection.

Chemical Peels

PCA Peels

PCA Peels help reduce the surface lines, smooth rough skin texture, treat skin discoloration and redness, and assist in clearing acne/ blemished skin. The naturally occurring AHA’s (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) and BHA’s (Beta Hydroxy Acids, Retinol and TCA found in PCA Professional Products loosen dead cells from the skin’s surface, revealing new, healthy cells. The results are smooth, radiant, glowing skin.

Some of the PCA Peels are:

PCA Peel with Hydroquinone and Resorcinol - For the treatment of oily skin, sun damaged and thickened skin. It is also excellent for the treatment of active cystic acne.

PCA Peel Hydroquinone Free Exfoliating treatment - This peel is ideal for more sensitive skin types, ethnic skin and those allergic to hydroquinone. It will help unclog pores, clear acne and rejuvenate the skin.

TCA Peel - TCA peels are often thought of as very aggressive and producing substantial discomfort. PCA professional TCA peels are very different from the standard. Our TCA solutions are blends formulated with many ingredients including lactic acid, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), plumping phytohormones, kojic and azelaic acids to produce dramatic results without discomfort and downtime associated with traditional TCA peels. Other PCA peels include: Ultra Peel II, Esthetic Peel, Clarifying Peel and Pumpkin Peel.

For maximum results, we recommend you have a series of six PCA peels in two to six weeks intervals, depending on your skin type.

Biomedic Peels

For Sensitive skin, an acid free 2% Lactic Acid Biomedic MicroPeel® is recommended. For a more rapid exfoliation the Biomedic MicroPeel® can be performed with glycolic acid at concentrations of either 20% or 30%. The extent of exfoliation depends on the type and concentration of the AHA.

There is usually no downtime associated with the BioMedic MicroPeel®. However, depending on the customization of the MicroPeel®, you may experience minor peeling in the days following the procedure.

BioMedic Micro®Peel Plus

This peel is designed to refine skin texture damaged by environmental factors and skin conditions such as acne. Available in two concentrations of salicylic acid, the Biomedic MicroPeel Plus program allows you to tailor your treatment to fit your ski type and long term goals. Depending on your skin you may or may not experience peeling.

For maximum results, we recommend you have a series of six BioMedic MicroPeel or Biomedic MicroPeel Plus in two to six weeks intervals, depending on your skin type.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical way to repair and restore your skin to its youthful appearance. Our FDA approved treatment is a progressive method of refining the texture of your skin while tightening the layers below the surface. During the treatment you may feel a stinging, tingling sensation as the crystals exfoliates the skin. There will be a visible healthy glow following your treatment. Removing the dead cells has revitalized your skin an prepared it for better absorption of topical nutrients.

We highly recommend the use of high level sunscreen throughout and after your microdermabrasion series. Continued treatments may be necessary to obtain maximum results.

Depending on the consultation, a series of 4 to 8 treatments will achieve the desired results. Treatments should be scheduled 10 to 14 days apart to allow for maximum rejuvenation of your skin. If microdermabrasion is combined with a chemical peel, then your treatments should be scheduled 3 to 4 weeks apart.
